About Me – Comien van Zyl | Occupational Therapist – Kind Hands OT
Hi, I’m Comien van Zyl, a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist with over 17 years of experience, originally from beautiful South Africa. I’m also a mother of three, and my life journey—through both joys and personal challenges—has deeply shaped the therapist and human being I am today. These experiences have strengthened my empathy, resilience, and unwavering passion for supporting people from all walks of life.
At Kind Hands OT, my mission is simple: to support people of all ages in living a fulfilled, meaningful life, and to empower individuals to reach their highest level of independence—whether at home, school, or out in the community. I understand that every person is unique, and I strive to bring a kind, tailored, and person-centred approach to every session.
I work solely within the community, bringing therapy to your home, school, or community setting, supporting both private and NDIS clients. I believe therapy should feel comfortable, natural, and integrated into your everyday life.
To help you start your therapy journey with confidence, I offer a free 30-minute consultation—a space to connect, ask questions, and see if we’re the right fit for one another.
